మహారాష్ట్రలో పుట్టి, టాలీవుడ్ తెరమీద విభిన్న పాత్రలు పోషించి అశేషాంధ్రుల ఆదరాభిమానాలు చూరగొన్న తెలంగాణ శకుంతలకు పలువురు నటీ నటులు, టాలీవుడ్ ప్రముఖులు ఘనంగా నివాళులు అర్పించారు. శకుంతల ఇప్పటివరకు 250 సినిమాల్లో నటించారు. తెలుగుతో పాటు హిందీ, తమిళం, భోజ్పురి లాంటి భాషల్లో ఆమె తన నటనా ప్రావీణ్యం ప్రదర్శించారు.
 
 మా భూమి, రంగులకల, నువ్వునేను చిత్రాల్లో ఆమె నటనకు నంది అవార్డులు కూడా వచ్చాయి. కాగా, మధ్యాహ్నం రెండు గంటల వరకు ఫిల్మ్ ఛాంబర్లో తెలంగాణ శకుంతల పార్థివ దేహాన్ని ఉంచి, ఆ తర్వాత అల్వాల్లోని హిందూ శ్మశాన వాటికలో అంత్యక్రియలు నిర్వహిస్తారు. శకుంతలకు ట్విట్టర్ ద్వారా నివాళులు అర్పించినవారిలో నటీనటులు సమంత, సిద్దార్థ, లక్ష్మి మంచు, నిఖిల్, ప్రణీత, సందీప్ కిషన్ తదితరులున్నారు.
